The Muslim Association of Milton will be holding a lecture and social dinner on Friday December 25, 2009 at 8 PM, Insha'Allah. The event will be held at the Milton Memorial Arena (Milton Lions Club) located at 77 Thompson Road South , Milton (across from SuperStore) (Map)
We will start the function at 8 PM sharp with a recitation from the Quran followed by a lecture presented by Br. Riad Quarzazi on the topic about your role in the community. It will be titled "Your community, Your responsibility" and he will discuss topics such as your role as a muslim towards your community, what is your vision/message in life, and your role as a da'i. He will also share some tips and techniques in giving da'wa, as well as some examples of the Sahaba (RA) in serving Islam.
Dinner will be served after the lecture.
Brothers and sisters, we have tried very hard to find a suitable place to hold this venue. Unfortunately, there is nothing available within Milton suitable to a large gathering and holding the event outside of Milton is not conducive to driving due to the weather this time of year... hence, we will need to strictly control the attendance at this event. We are under strict guidelines to allow no more than 200 people in the hall. No one will be allowed entry without a ticket and tickets will need to be purchased in advance. There will be no ticket sales at the door.

$35 Family (2 adults plus children 15 and under)
$15 Individuals (adults and children over 15)
There are a limited number of tickets, you can purchase these at the Musallah or at Juma'a prayers starting tomorrow (Friday Dec 18). Join us for a good lecture, good food, and a good time.
P.S. Please note that the ticket sales will help defray the costs associated with food and the rental hall. In fact, even with full attendance, we are still about $500 short, hence we would welcome any monetary sponsorship and we encourage you to make a small donation in addition to the ticket purchase. There will be no fundraising at this event.
